Some visits are hands-on and restorative. Others are quieter, more focused, or conversation-based. Care is shaped around the service you book and what feels appropriate that day.

Many people aren’t sure what they need when they first arrive. You’re welcome to choose what feels closest to what you’re looking for, or reach out if you’d like help deciding.
Care can also evolve over time as you learn how your body responds.

Acupuncture works by stimulating the body’s communication systems. Research shows it can influence the nervous system, circulation, and the way the body processes pain, stress, and inflammation.
From a clinical perspective, acupuncture helps the body shift out of stress-driven patterns and into a more regulated state. Many people notice this as a sense of relaxation, improved sleep, reduced tension, or clearer internal signals over time.
How it shows up varies from person to person, and subtle changes are just as meaningful as dramatic ones.

Acupuncture needles are very thin, much thinner than needles used for injections or blood draws.
Most people feel very little when the needles are inserted. Sensations during treatment can include warmth, heaviness, tingling, or a gentle pulling feeling. Many people find treatments deeply relaxing and even fall asleep.
If something feels uncomfortable, adjustments can always be made.

People commonly seek care for things like pain, tension, stress, sleep issues, digestive concerns, hormonal imbalance, nervous system dysregulation, and overall support during periods of transition or burnout.
Because care is pattern-based, treatment is always personalized to how your body is presenting.

There isn’t a single answer that fits everyone.
Some concerns respond well to closer-together visits for a period of time, while others are supported with more flexible or occasional care. Many people choose what feels right based on how their body responds.
We’ll talk through options together and adjust as needed.

Some people notice immediate changes. Others experience more gradual shifts over time.
It’s common for early changes to be subtle, like improved sleep, digestion, or a sense of feeling more grounded. These shifts often support deeper changes with continued care.
Healing tends to happen in layers rather than all at once.

After your session, it’s generally helpful to stay hydrated, eat nourishing meals, and give yourself a little extra rest if possible.
You don’t need to do anything perfectly. Simply noticing how your body feels over the next day or two is enough.

Comfortable clothing is best.
For sessions that involve work on the back or shoulders, you’ll have the option to undress to your comfort level and lie on a heated table under warm blankets. Privacy and comfort are always prioritized.

These therapies are considered very safe when provided by a licensed practitioner.
Sterile, single-use needles are always used, and techniques are adapted based on your health history, medications, and comfort level. If you’re pregnant or have specific medical considerations, those are taken into account when planning care.

Licensed Acupuncturists complete graduate-level education at nationally accredited institutions, including extensive clinical training and board examinations. Licensure also requires Clean Needle Technique certification and adherence to state and national safety standards.

When appropriate, herbal or supplement support may be discussed as part of care.
Any recommendations are individualized and offered thoughtfully, with attention to your overall health picture. The goal is to support your system, not overwhelm it.

Payment is due at the time of service. A receipt can be provided if you’d like to submit for potential reimbursement through your insurance or HSA.
