Manual Therapy
Hands-on treatments designed to release tension + support circulation
Manual therapy sessions at Wildflower Wellness offer hands-on treatments designed to release tension, encourage circulation, and support recovery without the use of acupuncture needles.
These visits are commonly chosen for muscular tightness, stress-related tension, facial tightness, or simply when focused bodywork feels supportive.
Sessions remain calm, grounded, and restorative.
Fire Cupping
Fire cupping is a hands-on technique using glass cups to create gentle suction on the body. This process helps decompress tight tissue, encourage local circulation, and release areas of persistent tension.
Treatments are frequently used for the back, neck, shoulders, and other areas of muscular tightness or restriction. Sensations often include warmth, pulling, or a feeling of pressure followed by softening or relief.
Temporary circular marks are a normal response and typically fade within several days.
It’s helpful to arrive hydrated and having eaten something light. After sessions, many people benefit from staying warm, hydrating well, and avoiding overexertion for the rest of the day. Any additional guidance is shared in session and tailored to your body.
Facial Gua Sha
Facial gua sha and facial cupping are gentle techniques applied to the face, jaw, and neck using smooth tools and light, rhythmic movements.
These treatments support circulation, encourage lymphatic movement, and help soften patterns of facial and jaw tension. Many people seek these sessions for jaw tightness, facial holding, stress patterns, or to support a refreshed and rested appearance.
Sessions are typically very relaxing and soothing.
Preparing for Your Session
Arriving hydrated and having eaten something light beforehand is generally most comfortable for body treatments. For facial therapies, arriving with a clean face allows treatment to flow more easily when possible.
Any preparation questions are always welcome.
What Sessions Are Like
Visits are unhurried and attentive.
After a brief check-in, treatment is applied using techniques suited to your comfort level and areas of focus. Sessions take place on a heated table, and the environment remains quiet and deeply calming.
After Your Session
Manual therapy treatments are typically relaxing and require no downtime.
Body cupping commonly leaves temporary marks reflecting increased local circulation. Facial therapies may produce mild temporary redness or warmth that resolves quickly. Many people simply notice a sense of release or relaxation afterward.
Any aftercare guidance is discussed in session and tailored to your body.
